The reigning Miss England “Alisha Cowie “ from Newcastle made a special visit to Leicester Tigers yesterday .Alisha (19) donned her new haircut & colour for the first time after having 10ins cut off the length for the “Papyrus Suicide Prevention charity “ earlier this week.
Alisha has appeared as a long hair model for Kibworths own celebrity hairdresser “Andrew Minarik” at Pro Hair Live just last weekend before her local hairdresser chopped over 10ins off & is donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust a charity which helps make wigs for children with Cancer.
Leicester Tigers mascot “Welford” posed for pics with Alisha pitchside ahead of this years Miss England Midlands semi final which takes place in the on 31st May.
This is the only competition which sends its winner to Miss World in this country which raises millions of pounds throughout the world every year using its slogan “Beauty With A Purpose” .
The Miss England Midlands contest will feature an ethical fashion show, where contestants will model their own creations from recycled clothing or materials with a green theme & are being invited to raise funds for two Leicester based cancer charities – CCLG the children’s Cancer & Leukaemia Group & Hope Against Cancer , both who have research facilities at Leicester Royal Infirmary .
Women from Leicestershire and the whole of the Midlands areas are being invited to participate .
