The Linda Mary Clarke Memorial Award Application

By 14th May 2021 No Comments

The Linda Mary Clarke Memorial Award has been established in memory of Linda Clarke, who sadly passed away in July 2019. During her working life she was passionate in her support and encouragement to young women to achieve their potential in pursuing careers within Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM).

The Award offers financial support to female students and is primarily, but not exclusively, designed to help students from a disadvantaged background or those who may have other challenges which may affect their individual opportunities in realising a career within STEM. Applications are particularly welcome from those students who wish to follow a career within the green sector, such as occupations involved in such activities as conserving energy, developing alternatives energy sources, reducing pollution or recycling.

The Award offers support of £500 and can be used to fund University, College or Apprenticeship fees, IT equipment, books, accommodation or other course related expenses.
