MISS ENGLAND TALENT ROUND SHORTLIST
The Miss England 2021 finalists have been invited to submit a talent video entry of themselves in this optional round in the Miss England final . Judges then narrowed it down to a shortlist to invite to a live audition .
Sadly two of the finalists ( Miss Liverpool Poppy Gerrard & Miss Dorset Alina Green ) couldnt attend as they were isolating and sadly missed the live audition but are still in the shortlist .
9 Miss England finalists met up in person in Leicester to perform on a theatre stage and take part in this exciting round .
Leicester’s oldest surviving Theatre, The Y Theatre on East Street Leicester hosted the auditions which was filmed by the Video News Factory for a Miss England Talent live stream at 7pm on Thursday 29thJuly 2021 , a month ahead of the final .
Now the public can cast their vote with the panel of judges.
When viewers book the livestream, they will be given the option to VOTE for their favorite Miss England Talent finalist . The finalists needs support as the livestream vote acts as one judge on the panel !
The Y Theatre is also home to the Y Charity which benefitted from a donation from Beauty with a Purpose earlier last year to sponsor a house for young homeless adults living in Leicester . “ The judges couldnt select 10 out this years Miss England finalists so they went for 11 who have now been shortlisted! “ said organizer Angie Beasley. Judges for the talent round include the reigning Miss England NHS Doctor Bhasha Mukherjee , who has held the Miss England title for over 2 years and Miss England Choreographer from Leicester Lisa Powell who has been working with the Miss England contest since 2002.
The top 3 in the talent round will be revealed at the end of the Livestream on the 29thJuly, and will be invited to perform live on stage at the Heart of England Conference and Event Centre Coventry on Friday 27thAugust 2021 alongside professional performers from Ruby Lemon , who provide entertainment for events .
The winner of the talent round will be fast tracked through to the top 20 on the night of the final and win a trophy and special prize .
The winner of Miss England 2021 will be revealed on Friday 27th August and she will represent England in the 70thMiss World final in Puerto Rico Caribbean !
The reigning Miss World Tony Ann Singh is also a talented singer and performed live at London’s Excel on the night she won the crown after winning the Miss World Talent round . Its not essential to have a talent to win Miss World but it certainly got Tony Ann noticed with her show stopping performance .
