The national finals for the Miss England’s heat to promote diversity in the contest will now be taking place Virtually on Saturday 13thFebruary. Due to the December government restrictions, the planned glamorous finals at Nollywood studios in London had to be cancelled on the 19thDecember. This was due to multiple areas of the UK moving into Tier 4.
The contestants have each submitted their own introduction catwalk & talent video filmed at home and have each been interviewed by the preliminary judges on zoom. All the footage have been put together by the Video News Factory to create an exciting virtual contest.
Yvette Philbert from All African Colours said “ We had hoped to bring an exciting diverse catwalk style final for the contestants just before Christmas as they have all done so incredibly well with their Beauty with a Purpose fundraising efforts and remained positive in 2020. But at least by going virtual nothing can stop us from finding the winner to go forward to the finals of Miss England .”
Miss All African Colours England aims to bring more diversity into the Miss England Competition. The winner of Miss All African Colours England will become a finalist in Miss England 2021.
