After the tv interview Mr England organisers were made aware that his mum had herself participated in pageants in India 30 years ago .

Dil said ” I’m very proud of these images of my mother from the year 1994. My mother participated in the Supermodel of India contest back in 1994 alongside Ashwariya Rai . My mum won the Supermodel title that year and then Ashwariya went on to win Miss India then Miss World and has since become a Hollywood star.  Unfortunately mum couldnt enter the Miss India contest because she was a British Citizen but has admired Ashwariya global success since .Winning the Supermodel competition led mum on to modelling and commercials ” .

Since entering the contest , the mother and son duo have been invited by beauty entrepreneur & Mr England contest supporter  “Tracey Woolley” to help promote her brand Fresh Face Pillow after Dil had been using it in the run up to the Mr England final to help keep his skin fresh and line free.

Tracey says: ‘it was really exciting being part of the Mr England competition – the Fresh Face Pillow is something that works for all ages and skin types and for men and women to help promote better sleep and great looking skin. ”

Dil was one of twelve finalists who took part in a fashion show style event modelling menswear from Scotneys of London road and will be invited to compete internationally by the Mr England contest during 2025.

Organiser Angie Beasley said “Dil was a perfect gentleman and a joy to work with in the Mr England competition . I think he could do very well at an international competition and I wish him all the best next year.”

The Mr England final took place on Tuesday 20th August 2024 at the City Rooms Leicester.  In the lead up to the final, the contestants raised awareness and funds for the charity Balls to Cancer and almost £5,000 was raised with fundraising still ongoing.
