NAMASTE GREETING FOR MISS ENGLAND IN INDIA

Derby’s Miss England Doctor greets with “Namaste” in India & receives a National Women’s Excellence Award

in India

 

The reigning Miss England is currently travelling around India on a charity project with the Coventry Mercia Lions Club.

This week Doctor Bhasha Mukherjee has appeared at numerous locations including rural villages in India meeting and greeting people with “Namaste” teaching young orphaned girls in the “Unique School for Girls” home how to use the greeting “Namaste” instead of shaking hands . Bhasha (24) also attended the Launch of a Surgical Eye Clinic with the local chief of police and other dignitaries .

“it’s important to spread health education to youngsters, it’s the least I can do in the difficult situation we are all in with the Coronavirus spreading” said the 24year old who started work as a Doctor the day after she won Miss England last year .

Bhasha was also photographed on stage at the Miss World final last December in Londons Excel using the Namaste Greeting which translates to “Salutation to You” or an elaborated version , the Divine in me Bows to the Divine in You”

On Sunday 8thMarch The junior doctor was presented with a Women’s Excellence award for International Women’s Day in Delhi by DK Events & the Elite Club in India .
