On 07/08/22 I swam 100 laps in 75mins for my charity swim for BWAP! For the past 10 years my mother and I have been a part of the Indian Ladies club. It is a club which helps the Indian ladies diaspora in the UK mingle with one another and form beautiful friendships. A lot of the ladies who attend the events are elderly and have no family of their own in England. So when it comes to the big Indian festivals such as Diwali and Vaisakhi they have nobody to celebrate with. Therefore, as a club we try to hold events every year for these special festivals giving the ladies an opportunity to make beautiful memories with the other members and not feel alone. I attend every event so that I can show the ladies our generation of young Indian ladies have not forgotten them and want to maintain the link! This club has done wonders for the Indian ladies mental well being and I am proud to be a young Indian lady and a part of this wonderful club

Miss England cohort embarks on Mission 7th Heaven
Cosmetics mask specialists 7th Heaven have partnered with the national beauty pageant Miss England to celebrate brilliantly British beauty.
Based in the UK, the family-owned beauty product business will partner with four of the 2022 pageant’s leading lights: winner Jessica Gagen, and the three runners up Milly Everatt, Emily Cossey and Melissa Raouf.
7th Heaven’s Holistic Marketing Lead, Celine Delasalle, said: “The synergies between 7th Heaven and Miss England are plentiful, and there’s much to admire about both organisations.
“Our values as a brand match so well with those of Miss England; celebrating the achievements of women, being positive role models, and inspiring others. Miss England is more than a beauty contest, and 7th Heaven is more than a brand.”
From their cruelty-free foundations to their gloriously good ingredients, there is a lot to love about 7th Heaven skincare, a best-selling line of face masks that are effective, inexpensive, and loaded with natural goodies. Face mask specialists since 1985, 7th Heaven has proudly produced brilliantly British products for every type of customer and skin type, selling over 100 million masks in over 90 countries.
Angie Beasley, Director of Miss England, said: “It’s such a pleasure to partner with 7th Heaven who champion women’s achievements and natural beauty like ourselves. I hope our relationship will be long and fruitful!”
Melissa Raouf made global headlines as she became the first participant in the pageant’s 94-year history to compete without makeup. The Cetuem Bare Face winner Melisa Raouf reached the final five and gave a powerful speech about empowering women to embrace their natural beauty in her bid to win.
“I believe that every woman is beautiful in her own way,” said Raouf “It’s time to celebrate that. We should encourage each other to embrace our unique features and feel confident and beautiful, inside and out.”
In the lead-up to the final, the contestants posted images of themselves on social media showing their best smiles to enter the contest.
“Melissa is a big part of why we decided to get involved,” added Delasalle. “Melissa’s original plans didn’t include going makeup free, but after noticing her photo’s impact, she decided to do the competition without any cosmetics.
“Going without makeup or filters throughout was a brave and positive thing to do, empowers choice and boosts body positivity, which is a major reason people use our masks.”
Jessica Gagen, 26, the first redhead Miss England in the competition’s history, is an aerospace engineering student. She will now represent England at the 71st Miss World, due to be held later this year.
“We’re backing Jessica to go all the way,” added Delasalle. “Once again, her story is very much one of empowerment.”
Milly Everatt is from Lincolnshire, and is a farmer and a HGV truck driver, and Emily Cossey from Chelsea is currently visiting schools and orphanages worldwide, especially in poverty-stricken areas, to help improve the lives of our little leaders of the future.
“All of the girls are a credit to themselves and their families, and we’re proud to support them from afar. We’ve seen first-hand the wonders that being part of the Miss England cohort can bring; in terms of passion, vocation and integration. We like to think that 7th Heaven will always be involved in celebrating natural beauty.”
